Mahi Tahi - collaboration

During  the 1970s  N.Z photographer Marti Friedlander travelled Aotearoa taking photos of kuia with moko kauae ( Inking of the lips and chin). Waitara library recently held an exhibition of these artworks on loan from Te Papa Muesuem in Wellington. Many of our year 8 students visited this exhibition which inspired our collection of artwork.
